After years of renting we have seen many different types of handymen, with most leaving us with less than satisfactory work.
Needless to say when Mel turned up this morning I was immediately blown away with how lovely and kind he was. He was thorough and professional yet his warm nature really shone through.
He took time and care with each item, and went through his jobs with a fine tooth comb. This sort of attention is unfortunately lacking these days. It was refreshing to see someone care enough to take pride and effort even in a small job like a hinge on a door.
It shows wonderful work ethic and that coupled with his sunny disposition makes Mel a sparkling gem amongst his peers.

We drove up a street and saw a for sale sign, surprised the agent said he would meet us there 1 hour later we didn’t have to wait for an open inspection.
We met Michael Verstandig at the appointed time.
He showed us through the door and said go for it I’m not going to harass you, we had a good look and then talked with Michael about a few things which led him to explain there was 2 offers to be submitted to the owner on Monday, this was Sunday. To our surprise Michael said he would give no indication at all about the other offers as he worked for the owners, I was impressed and said now there’s three.
I received a phone call on Monday to say our offer had been accepted, great news.
Michael did a great job for the owner I know this from the new neighbors who are friends of the owners.
My experience with Michael as the purchaser was also brilliant no problems at all, he even dropped the new house keys off to us after settlement with a bottle of wine to celebrate.
Buying a new house can be very stressful, Michael you made this a walk in the park Thank you.
